In 2001, the “Gerry & Franca Mulligan Foundation”, a charitable organization, was established to fulfill Gerry’s wish of supporting young musicians to attend music school, and to donate music instruments to inner city schools. In addition, the Foundation is also interested in perpetuating the music of Gerry Mulligan for educational purposes.

We are happy to announce that we have established a partnership with The Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF)
Our enthusiasm combined with their 33 years of experience selecting college scholarship recipients, will result in our selecting the most worthy music students as part of our Foundation’s mission.

Jackie Robinson and Gerry Mulligan were great friends. They mutually lived their public and private lives inspired by ethics, elegance and dignity, always with the joy of giving.
Our partnership was developed through the continuing friendship between Rachel Robinson and Franca R. Mulligan.
